The Dakotah Rose on riverfront property, is a Classical Victorian home built in 1906 for one of North Dakotah’s earliest medical specialists, Dr. Andrew Carr, Sr. The mansion is over 8,000 sq. ft. with elaborate oak woodwork and Tiffany stained and beveled glass windows. The interior reflects the Victorian lifestyle with parlors, tea room, library, music room, and a third floor ballroom. The butler can still be summoned with a special bell system located on each floor. The Dakotah Rose has seven antique-filled bedrooms to choose from. Stay with us for an adventure back in time at Minot’s hidden treasure! We offer wireless internet, cable television, free local calls, and free room service breakfast! Gift Certificates are also available.

Our Rooms

Master Suite - Décor of rose colored tapestry, in hunter greens, mauve and burgundy. King bed, sitting area with couch and chair, private bath, and balcony. Also includes private television and eating area to enjoy your breakfast. Price is $90.00 plus tax.





Victorian Room - Victorian décor in dusty rose and green. High-rise queen size bed, sitting area, beautiful leaded glass window, television, and private entrance to shared bath ($75 rate when rented as a shared bath). Rents for $90.00 plus tax when rented with private bath.

Garden Room - A room with a queen size canopy bed in a garden setting. Floral motifs in green and periwinkle blue, this large room has more beautiful leaded glass windows. The closet is filled with "dress-up" clothes perfect for mom and daughter to spend a night and play dress-up! Rents for $75.00 plus tax.

Grandma's Attic - A room of twin beds with antique dolls. This room may also be rented as a joining room to the garden room which is directly across the hall from the shared bathroom. Each room is $75.00.

Dakota Prairie - Room with the theme of the countryside and a double size bed decorated to reflect our North Dakota farming heritage. Shared bathroom Price is $75.00 plus tax.

The Nordic Room - This room has a Scandinavian touch with a double bed. Shared bathroom and rents for $75.00 plus tax.




Butler's Suite - Located off the third floor ballroom, this newly renovated room has a high rise king size bed, colors of soft blue’s and yellow, a claw-foot slipper tub with shower surrounded by white flowing sheers. Private water closet as well. This room is filled with pieces of history from the time the butler and the maid truly shared this space as two smaller rooms. Two large windows overlook the river. Rent is $90.00 plus tax. You'll feel as though you've stepped back in time!


Room Rates and Reservation Information

Again our prices are $90.00 for the rooms with private bathrooms, and $75.00 for the others. Room rates are based on two friendly people and include a full breakfast. Rates are subject to a 10% North Dakota sales and hotel tax. Check in is 4:00 p.m., check out is 11:00 a.m. Sorry, no smoking and no pets. Enjoy our all season outdoor hot tub and gazebo. Find us at 510 4th Ave. N.W., Minot North Dakota 58703. Directions: Off Broadway (Highway 83) turn west onto 4th Ave. N.W. Business District (Landmark is a red caboose and a little white church). Travel two blocks, cross over the bridge and make a sharp right on 4th St N.W. This curves around back onto 4th Ave. We are the sixth house on the right side.


Special Events

Weddings, receptions, dinners, children's birthday tea parties, luncheons, group meetings, brunches--your special event may be hosted at the Dakotah Rose.

Weddings may be held outdoors on the large lawn or in the beautiful main floor of the Dakotah Rose. Call us for more information!
